Commercial Film Shoots

We have been proud to serve as the location for commercial film shoots, including this one for the Backyard Hibachi, filmed by Fallon Industries.  Most recently some of our properties were used for filming scenes for Discovery network shows.

Amateur Radio Club Field Day

The Ventura County "Bored Net" held a Micro Field Day in December 2022 at The Resort.  Lots of room to setup antennas!  What can your club use our facilities for?

FAQs

What type of events do you allow?  Currently we are only accepting commercial film shoots at our locations.  We are not accepting any more weddings, parties, or gatherings.

How much do you charge for an event?  We cater our event fees based on the type of event, event size and facility needs.  Please contact Ryan today at 805.905.4000 or Ryan@VenturaCountyVacationRentals.com to discuss your event needs.

Do I have to book an overnight stay to use the venue?  No.  An overnight stay is not required for filming.

Are there any additional fees?
  All of our fees are baked into the overall price of the event package.  This includes any cleaning fees.

What if I need something special?  If there is something you need for an event, please let us know.  If we have it in inventory, we'll be happy to bring it out for your event.  If it's something we do not have, we can discuss.

Do you have tables and chairs?  We have some shaded outdoor seating areas and dining areas that can accommodate smaller gatherings.  We have recommended vendors above for renting tables, chairs and other items.

Can I have a DJ?  Since we are in residential areas, we are currently not allowing professional DJ setups out of respect for our neighbors.  Small speakers, such as the JBL Charge series, are acceptable.

Do you require any insurance?  Yes, we require event insurance.  We are partnered with TheEventHelper.com for insurance.  Click Here to be taken to our ordering page with them.  When it asks for the location, please select the appropriate venue from the drop down and all of the required additional insured information will be automatically input.

How big of a event can I have?  The size of the event depends on a multitude of factors, including the event type and facility needs.  Please contact Ryan to discuss your particular needs.  We are in residential neighborhoods, so event size will be limited out of respect for our neighbors.
