The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library

Presidential library dedicated to Ronald Reagan's life, terms in office and legacy.  Features include a piece of the Berlin Wall, Reagan's Air Force One and Marine One and a fighter jet.  This is also the resting place of Ronald and Nancy Reagan.

The library is also host to an ever changing set of special exhibits covering a wide variety of topics from classic cars, to football to the FBI

The Stagecoach Inn

Go back in time and learn about the early days of the Conejo Valley and life in the old west.  Several permanent and rotating exhibits as well as live entertainment during the summer evenings

The U.S. Navy Seabee Museum

This museum celebrates the rich history of the United States Navy Construction Battalion, known as the "Sea Bees"

The Mullin Automotive Museum

Founded in 2010, the Mullin Automotive Museum strives to educate guests about 20th-century French automotive styling and design. The museum boasts nearly 47,000 square feet of exhibit space in an elegantly designed structure, which was previously owned by legendary newspaper publisher Otis Chandler.

In addition to its sweeping gallery spaces, the museum includes a roof garden, theater, gift shop and archival storage.

The Channel Islands Maritime Museum

The goal of the Channel Islands Maritime Museum, is to preserve and share the wonders of our maritime heritage, highlight our complex interrelationships with the ecology of The Ocean, and showcase people’s creative expressions of everything related to the sea.

The Port Hueneme Lighthouse

The Port Hueneme Lighthouse is open every third Saturday monthly from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m, but you must arrive before 2:30 p.m. to make it for the free tour.

The Port Hueneme Pier

Port Hueneme Pier is a 1200 foot long wooden plank pier on the waterfront in Port Hueneme. It’s open to the public and located next to Port Hueneme Beach Park. On a daily basis one will find residents and families fishing off the pier or enjoying a nice lunch at Andy's Surfside Seafood. The beach has several BBQ and picnic areas, swings for the kids to enjoy, and volleyball nets. Restrooms are located at the front of the pier as well as in parking lot A.

Heritage Square in Oxnard

Step back in time to the Victorian era by scheduling your tour at Heritage Square. Docents provide information about the architecture and the families who lived in the original homes, built between 1876 thru 1912.

The San Buenaventura Mission

One of the 21 missions established in California, this mission stands upon a hill overlooking the Pacific Ocean.  This is still an operational mission, with regular services as well as special events.

The Ventura Botanical Gardens

The Ventura Botanical Gardens is a 107 acre world-class site with spectacular views of the California coastline, verdant agricultural vistas, the Channel Islands and Ojai’s Topa Topa peak. With a 40-year master plan and already over 30,000 plants in the ground, the Gardens represent the five Mediterranean climate zones of the world; Chile, the Cape of South Africa, Southern Australia, the Mediterranean Basin, and California. These are low water climate zones, much like Ventura, allowing for long term sustainability.

The Commemorative Air Force

The CAF was founded to acquire, restore and preserve in flying condition a complete collection of combat aircraft which were flown by all military services of the United States, and selected aircraft of other nations, for the education and enjoyment of present and future generations of Americans.

More than just a collection of airworthy warplanes from the past, the CAF’s fleet of historic aircraft, known as the CAF Ghost Squadron, recreate, remind and reinforce the lessons learned from the defining moments in American military aviation history.

The Underwood Family Farms

If you're looking for something unusual to do with the whole family, there is The Underwood Family Farms. The Underwood farms are situated on 50 acres of land in Moorpark right off of the 23 freeway at Tierra Rejada and has an animal center with a wide variety of animals on display from goats to donkeys and even Scottish Highland Coos! For those that want to elevate the "Farm to Table" dining experience, Underwood is best known for the ability to pick your own fruits and produce right out of the ground (or off the vine).

The Gardens of the World

The Gardens of the World became a reality when Ed and Lynn Hogan, founders of Pleasant Holidays, decided to build a striking monument to commemorate the various cultures of the world. Their motivation was simple: to give something back to the community where they live and conduct their highly successful business, and the desire to share with others their travel experiences and the beauty they have seen during their travels around the world.

The Conejo Valley Botanical Garden

Between the mall and the mountains and the freeway and the green way, lies one of the hidden gems of the Conejo Valley. The Conejo Valley Botanic Garden is 33-acres of natural terrain encircled by the city of Thousand Oaks. From the the sweeping vistas at the peak of the Garden through fifteen unique, hillside specialty gardens, and onto the hiking trail along the riparian steam, the Conejo Valley Botanic Garden is a destination not to be missed.

The Channel Islands

Channel Islands National Park and Marine Sanctuary is comprised of five islands strung out in the lovely and marine-rich Santa Barbara Channel. From north to south, the islands are San Miguel, Santa Rosa, Santa Cruz, Anacapa, and Santa Barbara. Relatively close to the California mainland — and, in two cases (Santa Cruz and Anacapa), only an hour boat trip from Ventura Harbor.

The islands offer a wide array of activities from hiking to diving to kayaking and even whale watching!

Island Packers Cruises

Island Packers Cruises offers year round transportation to the “local islands” Santa Cruz and Anacapa. They offer trips to the “outer islands”, Santa Rosa, San Miguel and Santa Barbara from March through November on a limited schedule.

Island Packers Cruises also offer trips that get close to the Channel Islands without going ashore which are designed so you can to view the abundant wildlife found in the waters of the Channel Islands National Park and the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary. Seasonally, in summer and winter they also offer Whale Watching trips.  They also have harbor dinner cruises during the summer months.

Disneyland and California Adventure Parks

Disneyland Park, originally Disneyland, is the first of two theme parks built at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, opened on July 17, 1955. It is the only theme park designed and built to completion under the direct supervision of Walt Disney

Disneyland is home to several unique attractions such as the California Adventures Park, The Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and Avengers Campus

Disneyland is about a 1.5 to 2 hour drive from Ventura County

Knotts Berry Farm

Knott’s Berry Farm is a world-renowned 57 acre theme park built from the humblest of beginnings. What started as a small berry farm soon began to grow into a family theme park destination thanks to famous fried chicken dinners, boysenberries and an Old West Ghost Town. Knott’s Berry Farm now bursts with attractions and entertainment for all ages, including first-class roller coasters, stage shows, interactive experiences, delicious food creations and family-friendly fun featuring Snoopy and the Peanuts Gang. The once small family farm has grown into today's family fun destination; home to the Knott's Berry Farm theme park, Knott's Soak City Waterpark and Knott's Berry Farm Hotel.

In 2015, it was the twelfth-most-visited theme park in North America and averages approximately 4 million visitors per year. The park features 40 rides including roller coasters, family rides, dark rides, and water rides.  Knotts is about a 1 to 1.5 hour drive from Ventura County

Six Flags Magic Mountain

Do you enjoy the heart pounding excitement of roller coasters?  Well then you're in luck!  Located approximately 45 minutes from Ventura County is Six Flags Magic Mountain.  With over 30 rides that range from family friendly rides to the intense adrenaline pumping thrill rides, there is something for everyone!  Magic Mountain also has dining, live shows and special events

Universal Studios Tour and City Walk

Universal Studios and Theme Park celebrates the work of Universal Studios Pictures.  One of the most famous rides is the studio tour where Jaws comes out of the water and attempts to eat the tour!

Outside the theme park, there is Universal City Walk which is an outdoor area with shops, over 30 places to eat, nightlife and a 19 plex movie theater

Lego Land

With more than 60 rides, shows and attractions, it's an interactive, hands-on theme park experience for families with children 2 - 12. The Resort is also home to SEA LIFE® Aquarium and the world's first LEGOLAND® Water Park.
