Are you ready to "Shop til you drop?" Well Ventura County has plenty of shopping for you!
First up are the world famous
Camarillo Premium Outlet Malls. People come to California for the sun and the celebrities, some come just for this mall! Over 160 stores featuring many of the world's top brands. Click the link above to be taken to their website for a listing of all their stores and a map to help plan your day.
Thousand Oaks has two shopping malls.
The first mall is the
Oaks Mall. This mall is situated right off the 101 freeway and can be accessed from either the Moorpark Road or Lynn Road offramps. In addition to various stores, this mall also has a food court, several restaurants such as The Cheesecake Factory, and an AMC movie theater. On Thursday afternoons there is even a farmer's market just past the movie theater.
Next we have the
Janss Mall. Located across the street from the Oaks Mall, this is a smaller "open air" mall. In here you'll find a Gold's Gym, a Regal movie theater, and several restaurants and a local brewery tasting room.
At the intersection of Westlake Blvd and Thousand Oaks Blvd in the city of Westlake Village, there are several strip malls with a variety of stores and restaurants. The largest of these centers is the "Westlake Commons" which is on the south east corner. This has a Nike store, a Cineopolis movie theater as well as a Paul Martin's and a Marmalade Cafe, which is a great breakfast and brunch spot.
In Simi Valley there is the
Simi Valley Town Center, which is an "open air" mall with several shops, dining establishments, a movie theater and a museum. If you're looking for something for the kids to enjoy or even the entire family, there is an art studio run by a friend of mine called "
Ninja Toons" that teaches drawing and has themed live drawing nights.
For those that find themselves up near the beaches of Ventura, or coming back from a day trip to Anacapa Island, there is the
Ventura Pier and Promenade.
If you fancy a drive to the most upscale shopping areas, we are but a short drive to the shopping of Malibu, Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive.
